The Production Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing manufacturing operations, ensuring high quality, efficient production, safety compliance, and minimizing waste. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams to meet production targets, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and monitor daily production operations to ensure targets (quantity, quality, delivery) are met.
Analyze production data and performance indicators (cycle times, downtime, scrap rates, OEE etc.), identify bottlenecks, and propose process improvements.
Implement productivity improvement projects (lean, 5S, Kaizen, etc.) to reduce cost, waste, and improve throughput.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards (ISO, industry/customer standards), environmental guidelines.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machine uptime, plan preventive maintenance & reduce breakdowns.
Assist in new product introductions or process changes: design of tooling / fixtures, standard operating procedures, work instructions.
Schedule resources (manpower, material, machines) for shifts; coordinate with supervisors / leads to enforce production plans.
Prepare and maintain production reports, performance dashboards, root-cause analyses of issues, corrective/preventive actions.
Provide training and guidance to operators and shift staff; ensure adherence to process and safety protocols.
