Production & Assembly Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the assembly line and plant workforce.
• Plan, organize, and execute retrofit assembly of construction equipment with attention to quality, efficiency, and timeliness.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and industry norms.
• Work closely with engineering teams to implement design changes, integrate new technologies, and develop best practices for assembly operations.
• Maintain oversight on mechanical, electrical, and electronic aspects of assembly, ensuring seamless integration of powertrain and allied systems.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for productivity, quality, resource utilization, and cost control.
• Implement continuous process improvements to optimize resources and reduce downtime.
• Ensure smooth coordination with procurement, supply chain, and commercial functions to meet operational goals.
• Mentor and guide the workforce, building a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence.
• Provide regular operational reports and commercial insights to management for strategic decision-making.
• Efficient and error-free execution of retrofit assembly line operations.
• Adherence to engineering standards, safety norms, and quality benchmarks.
• Achievement of production targets and optimization of operational costs.
• Successful integration of electric powertrains in construction equipment.

Key Requirements

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 -15 years of experience in automotive/industrial assembly line management.
• Proven expertise in managing mechanical assembly operations, preferably in retrofitting of Heavy Vehicles / Construction Equipments
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and handle end-to-end plant operations independently.
