The Technical Production Support Analyst is a frontline expert responsible for the seamless operation of
our production trading environment. This role involves proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and
resolution of technical issues impacting real-time trading systems. The analyst will act as the bridge
between technical teams and business stakeholders (traders, portfolio managers, operations) to ensure
minimal disruption to business operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Incident Management & Resolution: Monitor system performance and logs to identify potential issues,
diagnose complex incidents in real-time, and implement immediate fixes or workarounds to restore
services rapidly and minimize downtime.
* Troubleshooting: Conduct in-depth analysis and debugging of issues across various layers of the
application stack, including software, hardware, and network components, using diagnostic tools.
* Collaboration: Work closely with development, quality assurance (QA), and infrastructure teams to
identify root causes of recurring problems and propose long-term solutions/permanent fixes.
* User Support: Provide expert support to internal users (trading desks, trade support) and external
clients, effectively communicating technical issues and resolutions to non-technical stakeholders.
* System Maintenance: Perform routine health checks (BOD/EOD tasks), maintenance, and updates to
production systems to ensure maximum uptime.
* Automation & Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for automation of routine tasks and
develop scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
* Change & Release Management: Review changes and releases for impact on trading systems and
assist in coordinating code deployments and migrations through different environments.
* Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Assist in data requests for regulatory and compliance purposes
and ensure adherence to IT policies and operational controls.
Required Skills & Experience
* Excellent debugging skills at both the front end and back end, including database analysis, log analysis,
and developer console troubleshooting across various platforms such as mobile apps and web
applications.
* Technical proficiency: Strong knowledge of Pl/sql ,SQL, Java, and ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash,
Kibana) logs, with proficiency in Jira.
* Database Management: Hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction, log analysis, and database
management systems (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL).
* Financial Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Equity Capital Markets, financial instruments,
trade life cycles, and general financial terms (e.g., futures, options, derivatives).
* Trading Systems: Prior experience in supporting front-end trading applications and exchange
connectivity systems is mandatory.
* Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex information clearly
to technical teams and business users.
* Methodologies: Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and incident/problem/change
management processes.
