We are looking for a Product/Category Manager HR Category who will own the end-to-end lifecycle of one or more digital HR products within Zarthi. This individual will act as a Category Owner someone who understands the business problem, defines the market and audience, shapes the user experience, and drives product-led growth. Youll be working closely with HR, Tech, Design, and Business teams to build meaningful, scalable, and monetizable HR solutions.
We particularly welcome candidates from EdTech or D2C Product backgrounds who have launched & scaled learning, assessment, or career-focused platforms (e.g., UPSC/K12/Skilling products), and can apply similar thinking to HR Tech.
• Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of HR-centric digital products (e.g., onboarding, LMS, Ecommerce for internal employees, internal job marketplace, skill tracking, etc.)
• Translate complex HR problems into intuitive, scalable digital products.
• Define MVP features, user flows, wireframes, and product documentation.
• Act as a Category Manager, taking full responsibility for:
o Defining the product-market fit.
o Understanding target user personas (e.g., employees, HR, CXOs).
o Benchmarking against competitors and global HR products.
o Finalizing pricing models, GTM strategy, and demand-gen hooks.
• Drive usage, adoption, and retention for the product line.
• Define and track key product metrics (e.g., engagement, NPS, usage rate).
• Collaborate with marketing and customer success to launch and promote products.
• Build long-term vision for the HR product suite think 0 to 1.
• Stay ahead of market trends (e.g., GenAI in HR, behavioural nudges, gamified learning).
• Proactively recommend new features, integrations, or platform pivots.
• Work with internal HR teams to identify pain points and co-design solutions.
• Liaise with Engineering, UI/UX, and QA teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Regularly present progress and impact to leadership.
• 1-3 years of Product Management / Category Management experience.
• Proven track record of building and scaling digital products (especially EdTech, SaaS, or B2C apps).
• Hands-on experience in user journey design, product lifecycle management, and growth optimization.
• Experience in EdTech (UPSC, K12, Skilling, or similar) where the candidate has:
o Taken ownership of a course or program.
o Defined target users.
o Set pricing, delivery models, and scaled user base.
• Exposure to building or managing HR tech or talent products is a strong plus.
• Deep customer empathy and ability to map user needs to product design.
• Ability to convert ambiguous briefs into structured, data-backed product decisions.
• Strong business acumen with a growth + monetization mindset.
• Familiarity with HR workflows (e.g., talent acquisition, engagement, learning) is a bonus.
