Product Sourcing and Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Product Sourcing and Quality Assurance Specialist at our client, a sister concern of a Large 60-year-old US investment Company, you will play a crucial role in managing the end-to-end process of sourcing diverse premium products. Your primary responsibility will be to identify suppliers, develop products, manage production, and ensure rigorous quality control to guarantee timely delivery and high standards. Your experience in "Gift & Premium" sourcing and product development will be essential for this role, and familiarity with sourcing from Asian countries will be advantageous. Key Responsibilities: - Source a wide range of premium products including metal items, fabric products, paper products, and plastic products from export-oriented manufacturers. - Identify and engage both direct manufacturers and trading companies for product development and sourcing. - Utilize your extensive knowledge of sourcing locations across India and other Asian countries to optimize cost and product quality. - Develop products based on samples and artwork, negotiate pricing and production timelines, and maintain a reliable network of manufacturers. - Oversee the entire production process, monitor quality standards, and conduct final quality checks before product dispatch. - Implement rigorous quality control measures across all production stages, perform regular inspections, and manage QA/QC performance. - Coordinate closely with design and logistics teams for smooth product development and shipment. - Prepare and deliver regular production and quality status reports, and collaborate with teams in the US/Europe and offices across Asia. Key Requirements: - Qualified in Supply Chain Management, Production, Business, or a related field. - Minimum 5 years of proven experience in product sourcing, production management, and quality assurance. - Prior experience in "Gift & Premium" product sourcing and development is essential. - In-depth knowledge of India's and Asia's manufacturing hubs and sourcing destinations. - Technical expertise across products made of fabric, metal, paper, and plastic. - Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills. - Willingness to travel within India and attend trade shows for vendor development and product sourcing. - Proficient in MS Office and sourcing management tools.
