Job Description

As a senior technical member of the Product Security Group at BMC Software, you will play a crucial role in enhancing BMC's overall success by focusing on third-party software security, container security, and SaaS security. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing subject matter expertise in application security, specifically in areas like third-party software composition analysis and container security. - Assisting product teams in identifying and addressing vulnerabilities effectively. - Conducting threat modeling and architecture reviews to ensure robust security measures. - Collaborating with non-technical teams such as Sales and Legal on new initiatives. - Supporting essential application security practices and contributing to the design and management of central security scanning infrastructure. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience: - 5+ years of experience in application security or information security, covering various aspects like code, web, mobile, API, cloud, infrastructure, and container security. - Strong problem-solving abilities to tackle unforeseen challenges. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with teams of varying technical expertise. - Proficient troubleshooting skills and problem-solving capabilities.
