Product Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Own the Build domain of the Tesco Developer Platform, partnering closely with Engineering and SRE counterparts.
• Define clear outcomes and OKRs for the Build area • Drive discovery: map personas, run interviews and surveys, observe real workflows, analyse logs/telemetry to identify friction and value opportunities. • Prioritise ruthlessly: translate problems into hypotheses, shape epics/stories with acceptance criteria, and maintain a transparent, prioritised backlog that maximises value for effort. • Deliver iteratively: collaborate with engineering to break down complex initiatives into thin vertical slices; enable experimentation and validate with cohorts. • Champion adoption & change: create migration paths, run enablement sessions, publish guidance and paved-road docs; measure adoption and unblock onboarding for target cohorts. • Partner across the platform: work hand-in-hand with the Deploy & Run PM to ensure an end-to-end, cohesive developer experience. • Operational excellence: triage and prioritise live product issues within your area; coordinate with engineering/SRE to ensure reliable, observable, cost-effective services. • Communicate with clarity: create roadmaps, status updates, and crisp narratives for different audiences. • Compliance & security by design: collaborate with Security, Risk, and Architecture to embed software supply chain assurance into paved roads without hurting DX.

Experience Relevant for This Job

•Hands-on product management experience workin internal platforms, developer tooling, CI/CD systems, or engineering productivity products. • Ability to turn ambiguous developer pain points into clear problem statements and measurable outcomes. • Comfortable working with usage analytics, telemetry, and experiment results to inform prioritisation. • Experience partnering closely with engineers on build systems, pipelines, and artifact management. • Demonstrated success driving adoption at scale, including enablement and documentation strategies. • Confidence with Agile delivery, lean product discovery, and backlog management.
