Product Manager

Role:

Overview:

As a Product Manager specializing in Mutual Funds, you will play a pivotal role in the development, enhancement, and management of our financial products portfolio. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle (from conception to launch, and beyond) of existing as well as new offerings, ensuring that they meet the needs of our customers while aligning with our business objectives at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy:

  Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for mutual funds, considering market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

• Market Research:

  Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities, assess competition, and gather insights to drive product development and positioning.

• Product Development:

  Manage the product roadmap, prioritize features, mitigate risks and oversee the development process.

• Product Performance:

  Monitor and analyse the performance of existing products, including sales metrics, customer feedback, and profitability. Identify areas for improvement and optimization, and implement strategies to enhance product performance.

• Regulatory Compliance:

  Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and ensure that all products comply with relevant regulations and standards. Work closely with legal an compliance teams to address any regulatory issues or concerns.

• AMC Partnerships:

  Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in AMCs, Regulator and AMFI including empanelment, commission negotiations & monitoring payouts.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. (MBA or advanced degree preferred)

Experience:

• Proven experience of 5-6 years in product management, preferably in the financial services industry with a focus on mutual funds.

• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a track record of driving results.
• Project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Certification such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is a plus
