Product Engineer

As a Product Engineer specializing in Design & Documentation at Duroflex, you will play a crucial role in supporting the complete product development lifecycle. Your technical expertise in furniture/mattress design, proficiency in CAD software, and experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams will be essential in bringing innovative products to market. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create and maintain detailed product design documentation, engineering drawings, and specifications. - Ensure accuracy in Bill of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation for manufacturing. - Collaborate with design and R&D teams to translate concepts into manufacturable products. - Assist in the development and prototyping of new furniture/mattress designs. - Work closely with vendors and in-house production teams to ensure smooth product execution. - Develop assembly instructions and quality control parameters to maintain production efficiency. - Conduct reverse engineering studies to improve product designs and optimize costs. - Implement design modifications to enhance functionality and durability. - Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and operations teams to align product development with business objectives. - Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and quality standards in product designs. - Oversee prototyping and validation processes, ensuring designs meet functional and aesthetic standards. - Participate in frequent site visits to monitor production and resolve design challenges. **Qualifications Required:** - Education: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. - Experience: 4-6 years in furniture/mattress design and engineering. - Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, SketchUp. - Industry Experience: Furniture & mattress manufacturing (preferred from Urban Ladder, Wakefit, Nilkamal, Home Centre, or similar). - Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
