About the Role: Provide system level analysis and design specifications in the context of a global team of engineering professionals involved in the development of point to multipoint systems. The role combines skills in radio planning, hardware and software development with an understanding of wireless communication and networking technologies. Responsibilities: Participate in new product definition interacting with Product Management. Tradeoff requested features against architectural decisions. Define and document the system-level architecture of a new product. Lead technology assessment and feasibility analysis activities cooperating with other functional groups in R&D. Create System Design Specifications enabling engineering teams to progress with designs (and finding solutions to technical challenges). Assist project managers in scheduling and planning with the early understanding of project complexity. Conduct research to validate the technology and mitigate risks. Monitor issues, assist in their analysis, and contribute to their solution at a system level. Scout newest technologies and trends Monitor the development of relevant standards. Qualifications & Competencies: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, with advanced engineering experience, preferably in the telecommunications domain. At least 10 years of experience working in product development. Passion for technical learning and exploring new technologies. Strong system-level analysis and design skills. An ability to work across multiple design disciplines (software, hardware, radio, networking). Strong communication skills, written and oral (in English). An ability to collaborate and work as part of a team. Experience with development of point to multipoint access products (including 4G or WiMax or similar point to multipoint including SCADA or Narrowband IoT systems). Knowledge of telecommunication products and technologies.
