Product Development Engineer-Door Trim

As a Product Development Engineer-Door Trim, your role involves overseeing the timely deliverables of defined components such as Door Trims, Tailgate Trims, Door Claddings, Pillar Capping, and Finishers. You are responsible for project management to ensure delivery in line with time, cost, and quality targets. It is expected that you demonstrate extensive experience in DV and PV timeline planning, product quality validation, and integration. Key Responsibilities: - Possess detailed engineering knowledge of design, function, performance, production, manufacturing, CAE, optical, vibration, and thermal requirements. - Manage and challenge supplier activities for smooth completion of DV and PV testing within speculated timings and milestones. - Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence at all levels. - Lead commodity delivery and coordinate Manufacturing, CAE & Validation Teams. - Utilize engineering tools such as RTC-RMDV, TRM / X-ray process, FMEA, Agile, and Scrum. - Ensure progression of design quality maturity from initial concept through final engineering sign-Off. - Define appropriate engineering targets to meet function, quality, and attribute requirements for the Vehicle Program. - Develop and maintain the design validation plan (DVP) including both in-house and supplier testing plan. - Troubleshoot and resolve all Validation issues. - Lead Failure Mode Avoidance activities including DFMEA, quality history reviews, and DFA/DFM reviews. - Support Purchasing team in Sourcing and RFQ activities. - Ensure delivery of PSW, through planning from project start to sign off. - Follow and deliver company goals and strategies. - Ensure system, sub-system, and components meet DVA, Optical, and Perceived Quality targets. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. - 8-12 years of experience in a similar role. - Proficiency in tools such as CATIA V6, 3DExperience, Teamcenter Visualization Mock-up, DFMEA, Agile or Scrum, RMDV, TRM, X-ray, Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc. Location: Pune,
