Job Description

As a Product Architect in Electromechanical (Low Voltage Control and Switchgear), your role will involve defining and driving the technical roadmap, architecture, and system-level design of low voltage control and switchgear products. Your deep domain expertise in electromechanical systems, understanding of global standards, and ability to innovate cost-effective product solutions will be crucial for success. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define product architecture and system-level design for low voltage electromechanical control and protection devices including contactors, relays, MPCBs, and motor starters. - Lead technical strategy and innovation. - Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, UL, CSA, ISO) and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle. - Guide cross-functional teams through concept development, feasibility studies, prototyping, and design validation. - Drive standardization, modularity, and reuse across product lines to optimize cost, quality, and time-to-market. - Evaluate and select materials, components, and manufacturing processes for high-performance and reliable operation. - Conduct design reviews, risk assessments (FMEA), and ensure robust design practices (DFM/DFA, tolerance stack-up, etc.). - Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners to maintain design intent through production. - Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy. **Qualifications for Success:** - Strong experience in defining product architecture and system-level design for low voltage electromechanical control devices. - Ability to lead technical strategy and drive innovation. - Knowledge of international standards (IEC, UL, CSA, ISO) and regulatory requirements. - Experience guiding cross-functional teams through concept development, prototyping, and design validation. - Proficiency in evaluating materials, components, and manufacturing processes for high-performance operation. - Familiarity with design reviews, risk assessments (FMEA), and robust design practices. - Effective communication and collaboration skills with suppliers and manufacturing partners. - Passion for staying informed on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
