Procurement RM - Biology

As a Sr Executive/Asst Manager with 5-8 years of procurement experience in pharmaceutical/CRO/CDMO, particularly in the biology domain, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Source and procure biology-related consumables, reagents, lab supplies, assay kits, and cell lines based on project requirements. - Communicate with scientific stakeholders (biology team) to understand technical needs and ensure procurement meets research timelines. - Identify, assess, and onboard qualified suppliers while adhering to regulatory and internal procurement standards. - Solicit and assess quotations, engage in vendor negotiations, and generate purchase orders using the ERP system (Oracle). - Monitor order progress, manage logistics, and guarantee on-time delivery. - Maintain procurement records, including quotations, order confirmations, delivery challans, and invoices. - Supervise vendor performance and cultivate supplier relationships to drive continuous quality enhancements and cost efficiencies. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: - Bachelor's or master's degree in science (preferably Biology/Biotechnology) or equivalent. - Proficiency in sourcing lab consumables, reagents, instruments, and equipment. - Familiarity with procurement tools, specifically ERP Oracle. - Strong negotiating, communication, and vendor management abilities. - Capability to work autonomously and cooperatively with cross-functional teams. - Basic MS Office reporting proficiency.
