Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvements in cost, quality, and lead times.

R&D & NPI Procurement

Work closely with R&D, engineering, and product development teams to procure materials for prototypes and new product development.

Source low-volume, high-mix components for prototyping while ensuring scalability for mass production.

Understand BOM (Bill of Materials) requirements and work with cross-functional teams to secure critical parts for design iterations.

Evaluate alternative components and technologies in collaboration with engineering teams to mitigate supply chain risks.

Cost Optimization & Risk Management

Develop cost models and negotiate volume-based pricing strategies to optimize procurement costs.

Identify and mitigate risks related to component availability, obsolescence, and geopolitical factors.

Implement dual-sourcing strategies to ensure supply continuity.

Stay updated on industry trends, trade regulations, and supplier market dynamics.

Process Improvement & Compliance

Enhance procurement processes, supplier selection criteria, and contract management policies.

Ensure compliance with RoHS, REACH, ITAR, and other industry regulations.

Implement procurement best practices, leveraging ERP and supply chain management tools.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Electronics Engineering, Business, or a related field (Masters/MBA is a plus).

5-10 years of experience in electronics procurement, supply chain, or sourcing, with a focus on R&D and new product development.

Strong knowledge of electronic components, PCB manufacturing, semiconductors, and OEM/ODM supplier networks.

Experience working in an R&D-driven environment and supporting engineering teams.

Familiarity with NPI processes, component lifecycle management, and rapid prototyping.

Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in automotive, consumer electronics, industrial, or telecommunications sectors.

Knowledge of commodity trends, global sourcing strategies, and trade compliance.
