Our client is looking for General Manager Procurement
Reporting To: Director Supply Chain & Finance
- BE/BTech or BCom + MBA in Supply Chain/Operations
- 15+ years in high-volume manufacturing procurement roles
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with electronics sourcing, SAP/Zoho workflows, and global logistics
- Ability to handle 5001,500 Cr/year procurement across categories
Build and manage global sourcing partnerships (China, ASEAN, Taiwan, India); develop a sourcing roadmap by category (electricals, magnetics, semiconductors, plastics) aligned with product roadmap and volume forecasts
Negotiate contracts, price slabs, credit terms, and JIT schedules with strategic vendors
Develop procurement organisation with category-specific buyers (PCBA, plastics, stampings, magnets, connectors); define procurement hierarchy, KPIs, approval matrices, and escalation systems
Institutionalize ERP/Zoho-driven workflows across PR to PO to GRN cycles; ensure seamless integration with inventory, finance, and payment release systems; maintain rate contracts and performance-based vendor rating systems
Plan for import compliance, LC handling, customs clearance, and vendor documentation
Track commodity pricing, currency trends, and supply chain risks; maintain a proactive risk register and continuity plans for critical components; pre-approve alternate vendors
Collaborate with QA for inspection plans, rejection resolution, and approval protocols; coordinate with stores on stock reconciliations and with finance on timely vendor payments, debit notes, and credit reconciliations
