Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management

  • Source and qualify new suppliers for paper cups (various sizes, materials, and customizations), Lids, Sleeves, Cartons and a diverse range of packaging materials (e.g., corrugated boxes, films, labels, bags).
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain competitive pricing.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors to secure the best value and favorable terms.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers.
  • Manage supplier performance, conduct regular evaluations, and ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.

Operational Procurement

  • Manage the full Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, including requisition processing, issuing Purchase Orders (POs), and expediting deliveries.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stock-outs and minimize excess inventory, collaborating closely with planning and operations teams.
  • Resolve issues related to supplier non-conformance, delivery delays, and invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and ethical standards.

Cost Control and Reporting

  • Track, analyze, and report on key procurement metrics such as savings achieved, supplier performance, and purchase price variance (PPV).
  • Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or supply reliability.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in procurement or purchasing, with a strong preference for experience in Paper, Print, Packaging, or FMCG industries.
  • Category Expertise: Proven experience procuring Paper Cups and/or various Packaging Materials is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or procurement software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications for packaging and print materials.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
