Procurement - ASH / Flyash

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ash Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement of ash from thermal power plants. The role involves coordinating with power plant operations, ensuring quality and timely supply of ash, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to support the company's environmental and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Planning & Execution:

• Identify and establish procurement strategies for ash from thermal power plants.
• Prepare and process purchase orders for ash procurement in line with project requirements and company policies.
• Coordinate with power plant authorities to forecast ash supply needs and schedule deliveries.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with thermal power plant operators and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct supplier assessments and performance reviews periodically.

Quality & Compliance:

• Verify the quality and specifications of ash received, ensuring it meets project and regulatory standards.
• Ensure adherence to environmental, safety, and health guidelines during procurement and handling.

Logistics & Inventory Management:

• Coordinate transportation, storage, and handling of ash supplies.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability to prevent shortages or excess.

Cost Optimization & Negotiation:

• Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms to achieve cost-effective procurement.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and transactions.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement status, supplier performance, and cost metrics.
• Environmental & Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay updated on environmental regulations related to ash handling and disposal.
• Ensure all procurement activities align with environmental and safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, preferably in power sector or industrial materials.
• Familiarity with ash types (fly ash, bottom ash) and handling practices.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations related to ash disposal and handling.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Note:

1. The position will be based in West Bengal, Tamilnadu, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Odisha, AP/TG, Maharashtra, MP, UP, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gujarat, Karnataka, Punjab, Delhi, Chhattisgarh.
2. Candidates should have good database of Thermal Power plants in the assigned region.
3. Procuring ash from Thermal power plants or selling any machinery or raw materials.
