Position Title: Process Engineer / Senior Process Engineer

Experience Level: 7 - 11 Years

Location: Pune , Hyderabad

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer with 8 to 10 years of experience in process design and engineering for flare systems and packages. The role requires strong expertise in combustion, process calculations, and equipment sizing, along with the ability to prepare engineering deliverables, review customer specifications, and support technical proposals. Familiarity with international standards (API 521, API 537) and experience with flare simulation software will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

Process Design & Calculations

• Perform detailed process calculations for flare systems.
  
• Size and select equipment/components (e.g., flare stacks, knockout drums, seal drums, liquid seals, tips, burners).
  
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  
• Prepare equipment datasheets, line sizing, control philosophies, and other process engineering deliverables.
  
• Ensure compliance with API 521, API 537, and other applicable standards.
  

Customer & Proposal Support

• Review and interpret customer specifications and project requirements.
  
• Support proposal and bid preparation by developing process design packages and technical documentation for flare systems.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• Education:B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering (Masters degree preferred but not mandatory).
  
• Experience: 7-11 years in process engineering, preferably in flare systems/combustion equipment.
  

Technical Skills:

• Strong foundation in process design and equipment sizing.
  
• Proficiency in preparing PFDs, P&IDs, and datasheets.
  
• Good knowledge of flare system operation and safety aspects.
  
• Familiarity with flare simulation software (FlareSim preferred) and standards (API 521 & API 537).
  
• Knowledge of coding/scripting (Python, MATLAB, VBA) is a plus for automating calculations and workflows.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
