Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer with strong expertise in the oil & gas industry to join our engineering team in Chennai. The candidate should have a proven track record in process design and detail engineering for onshore/offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform process design and detail engineering for oil & gas facilities, refineries, and petrochemical plants.

Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, line sizing, and hydraulic calculations.

Conduct simulations using process engineering software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or equivalent).

Prepare process datasheets, specifications, and operating guidelines for equipment and systems.

Carry out safety studies including HAZOP, SIL, and risk assessments.

Provide support during design reviews, client meetings, and interdisciplinary coordination.

Ensure all deliverables comply with project specifications, industry codes, and safety standards.

Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical / Process Engineering or equivalent.

10 – 20 years of relevant process engineering experience in oil & gas projects.

Proficiency in process simulation tools (HYSYS, Aspen, PRO/II, etc.).

Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards.

Experience in FEED and EPC phases is an added advantage.

Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
