Engineering System Manager

We are hiring for Engineering System Manager for Leading Oil and Gas company in Chennai & Mumbai.

Experience - 20+ years

Responsibility:

Review the software requirements with discipline heads, project engineering managers, bid managers and help in selecting appropriate software and in estimating project software budgets. • Review software industry developments / enhancements, applicability & advantages to the company business lines and make recommendations. • Chair meetings in-house and with software providers, as required to review the new software / enhancements and the associated cost & time savings. • Direct the System administrators and 3D coordinators in providing adequate software support, trouble shooting and standardizing. • Review the processes and help in improving automation content and reducing engineering man-hours, by recommending, testing and implementing software enhancements. • Establish guidelines in coordination with discipline heads to optimize software access & usage, in order to reduce overall software cost. • Ensure that the software versions are latest and are updated regularly. • Ensure that the software validation is carried out and records are maintained. • Guide the team in providing material codification in the 3D model and automatic extraction of materials into the material management system being developed. • Prepare overall departmental budget & training budget, obtain approval, schedule expenditure and monitor. • Setting departmental targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). • Liaise with IT group and ensure adequate hardware, network and operational support • Liaise with design & project engineering and other operational support groups to ensure
