Process Designer

As a CAD P&ID Drafter at L&T, you will have the responsibility of creating and updating engineering P&ID drawings with mid-level design experience in Instrument, Electrical & Controls. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Read and fully understand P&ID's and other related documents to grasp the scope of work. - Prepare simple to complex engineering P&ID drawings with minimal supervision. - Update P&IDs from basic red-line (as-built) data provided with minimal direction. - Utilize CAD skills proficiently using AutoCad, Smart Plant, and Document Management System. - Identify various components such as field, mechanical equipment, electrical, instrumentation, and piping in P&ID drawings. - Follow proper drafting standards and Management of Change (MOC) information for creating, modifying, and maintaining P&ID drawings. - Apply client Engineering Standards in day-to-day technical support tasks. - Interpret Engineering mark-ups accurately for drawing corrections. - Field as-built P&IDs for project scope design and common field changes for Project Closure and PHA purposes. - Create/modify non-P&ID drawings like mechanical, inspection drawings, and plot plans. - Collaborate with Design and PSV groups for Project P&ID Drawings, as-built P&IDs, and PSV field verification updates. - Maintain a cooperative, efficient, and positive team working environment. - Communicate professionally, both verbally and in written form. - Ensure compliance with company and customer safety standards, procedures, engineering practices, and other standards.
