Job Description

As a Principal Technology Specialist (IT) at our multinational company, your primary responsibility will be to source and acquire IT-related goods and services, encompassing hardware, software, cloud solutions, and consulting services. Your crucial role involves devising and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company's digital aspirations and overall business objectives, with a focus on achieving cost savings, enhanced performance, and increased profitability. Your key tasks and responsibilities will include executing IT procurement strategies that resonate with the company's digital transformation and business goals. You will engage in advanced negotiation tactics and oversee the contracting process for significant purchases, ensuring favorable terms for the company. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and internal partners to foster strategic alliances and collaborative efforts will be essential. Additionally, you will manage the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting to conclusion, maintain a contract database, and ensure adherence to company guidelines and legal standards. Collaboration with IT, finance, legal, and compliance teams will be crucial in negotiating and finalizing high-value agreements such as master service agreements, enterprise license agreements, maintenance and purchase agreements, statements of work, and non-disclosure agreements. Initiating request for quotation (RFQ) and request for proposal (RFP) processes to secure competitive proposals ensuring the best combination of quality, service, and cost will also be part of your role. Managing the contract lifecycle to ensure smooth transitions and sustained business partnerships, coordinating with legal departments to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with international standards in IT contracts, and managing license usage for critical applications to ensure governance and cost-effectiveness will be key responsibilities. Furthermore, your role will involve pursuing continuous professional growth to stay abreast of the latest negotiation techniques, procurement practices, and contract management. You will also contribute to advisory panels and company-wide projects related to sourcing, procurement, and vendor management. To qualify for this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in fields like Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline. Demonstrated expertise in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, and high-stakes contract negotiations in an international corporate setting is essential. A proven track record of effective vendor relations and achieving cost-saving outcomes is required. Advanced analytical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills are vital, along with proficiency in procurement and contract management. Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects relevant to IT procurement and contractual agreements, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic team environment, are also necessary.
