Principal Software Engineer

As a Principal Software Engineer at PepsiCo, you will play a crucial role in leading the full stack development and deployment of scalable AI-powered applications. Your responsibilities will include architecting, developing, and deploying web applications, collaborating with various teams to align on project requirements, managing end-to-end development processes, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment in cloud environments. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development, with expertise in front-end technologies like React, Angular, Vue.js, and back-end frameworks such as Node.js. You should also have experience with databases, containerization tools like Docker, cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and DevOps tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI. Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks, API development, microservices architecture, and strong problem-solving skills are essential. Furthermore, having experience in deploying Cognitive services and custom models in production environments, along with soft skills like strong communication, leadership, and collaboration abilities, will be valuable assets in this role. Bonus skills such as experience with MLOps tools, understanding of NLP, computer vision, GraphQL, or similar query languages are advantageous.
