Principal SDET - Data Warehousing

Role Overview: You will be stepping into a leadership QA role at a global digital solutions company, known for its expertise in cloud, data engineering, and quality assurance. Your main responsibilities will revolve around managing both manual and automated testing across ETL pipelines, UI, and databases. In this role, you will lead a team and collaborate cross-functionally across global teams, implementing best practices in testing, owning quality strategy documentation, and integrating with CI/CD tools. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a QA team comprising 4 or more members, overseeing ETL, UI, DB, and end-to-end testing. - Analyze requirements and create detailed test cases and test data, both manual and automated. - Validate ETL workflows and transformation logic using advanced SQL, preferably Snowflake, Postgres, or MySQL. - Develop and maintain automation scripts using BDD, such as Gherkin/Behave, Pytest in Python. - Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Rundeck. - Create and maintain documentation including Test Strategy, BRDs, Defect Reports, etc. - Foster collaboration across DevOps, SRE, developers, and stakeholders. - Provide senior leadership with testing metrics and improvement plans. Qualification Required: - 9-12 years of total QA experience with a minimum of 6 years in ETL/UI/DB testing. - At least 3 years of experience in automation testing using tools like Selenium v3+, Playwright, with proficiency in Python. - Strong hands-on experience with SQL queries, particularly in Snowflake or Postgres. - Previous exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms. - Demonstrated leadership skills managing a team of at least 2 QA members. - Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
