Principal SDET - Data Warehousing

You will be joining a global digital solutions company recognized for its expertise in cloud services, data engineering, and quality assurance, with a specific emphasis on innovation and agile delivery within the BFSI and Healthcare sectors. As a leader in the QA domain, you will be responsible for overseeing both manual and automated testing procedures across ETL pipelines, UI interfaces, and databases. Your role will involve managing a team, fostering collaboration across global teams, and implementing industry best practices in testing methodologies. Additionally, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining quality strategy documentation and integrating testing processes with CI/CD tools. Your key responsibilities will include leading and supervising a QA team, comprising 4 or more members, specializing in ETL, UI, DB, and end-to-end testing. You will be expected to analyze requirements, formulate detailed test cases, and generate test data for both manual and automated testing. Furthermore, you will be required to validate ETL workflows and transformation logic utilizing advanced SQL skills, preferably in Snowflake, Postgres, or MySQL. Automation script creation and maintenance using BDD frameworks such as Gherkin/Behave and Pytest in Python will also be part of your responsibilities. Integration of automation frameworks with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, and Rundeck, as well as the development and upkeep of documentation including Test Strategy, BRDs, and Defect Reports, will be crucial aspects of your role. Facilitating collaboration among DevOps, SRE, developers, and stakeholders and providing testing metrics and improvement plans to senior leadership will also be key responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you must possess a total of 9-12 years of QA experience, with at least 6 years dedicated to ETL/UI/DB testing. You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in automation testing using tools like Selenium v3+ and Playwright in conjunction with Python. Proficiency in SQL queries, particularly in Snowflake or Postgres, is essential. Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms, proven leadership skills in managing QA teams, experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, and excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities are also required. Desirable qualifications include exposure to DBT, Informatica, or MS Power BI, knowledge of the Healthcare/Life Sciences domain, experience in front-end and back-end validation, and a willingness to work flexible hours with international teams.
