Role Summary

Principal Officer (PO)

Fund management

• Serve as the

  designated Principal Officer

  under the IFSCA (Fund Management) Regulations, 2022.
• Lead the

  fund management activities

  , ensuring alignment with investment objectives and risk management policies.
• Oversee the

  day-to-day functioning

  of the fund, including investment execution, valuation, compliance, accounting, and fund administration.
• Undertake fund accounting for all funds oversee monthly and quarterly

  NAV calculations

  , daily reconciliations including coordination with fund administrators, brokers, bank accounts and custodians.
• Liaise with

  fund administrators

  , custodians, trustees, and auditors for all fund-related operations.
• Maintain precise records of capital contributions, redemptions, and profit-sharing allocations at investor level.
• Reconcile trading books with bank statements, broker statement, broker statements with daily NAV statements.
• Oversee tax calculations, NAV calculations done by fund accounting and tax consultants.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly investor reports and profit allocation statements.

Family Office

• Oversee the

  day-to-day functioning

  of the family office, including investment execution, accounting and investment transfers.
• Reconcile trading and investment books with bank balances, statements.
• Maintain regular record of net-worth statements.
• Coordinate with CA, CS, operations manager etc. for tax, compliance etc.

Regulatory

• Ensure compliance with

  Category III AIF guidelines

  , including risk, leverage, investor reporting, and operational transparency.
• Act as the

  liaison with IFSCA

  , ensuring all regulatory filings, audit responses, and inspections are managed professionally and timely.
• Coordinate

  audit and tax filings

  for funds and personal investment entities.
• Coordinate with the Compliance Officer, fund accountants, custodians, legal, operations, and external service providers.
• Approve and oversee key investor communications, disclosures, and marketing material.

Regulatory & Operational Requirements

• Must be

  based in GIFT City

  , with a

  regular working presence

  in the IFSC-SEZ office.
• Must meet

  IFSCA qualification and experience criteria

  :
• At least

  5 years of experience

  in related activities in the securities market or financial products including in a portfolio manager, fund manager, investment advisor, broker dealer, investment banker, wealth manager, research analyst, credit rating agency, market infrastructure institution, financial sector regulator or consultancy experience
• Strong understanding of

  AIFs, derivatives, leverage, and regulatory reporting

  .

Qualifications

• CA/MBA (Finance)/CFA or relevant postgraduate qualification.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in fund management, portfolio management, investment advisory, or capital markets.
• Prior experience working in

  SEBI-registered AIFs or PMS

  , or with GIFT City-based funds is strongly preferred.
• Excellent understanding of

  regulatory frameworks

  (SEBI, IFSCA, FEMA).
