Job Description

As a Principal Network Engineer working in Bangalore (Hybrid) with flexible timings, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining systems, software, and applications across various domains. Your role will involve making technical design decisions, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and developing dashboards for near real-time network status. Collaboration with network operations and service teams is essential to provide technical support and guidance for multicast- and WAN-related issues and implementations. Your responsibilities will include leading upgrades, coordinating efforts with internal teams and third parties, building accurate documentation, and monitoring system performance to support business activities and continuous improvement. You will also support the deployment of engineering patterns and contribute to creating solutions by coordinating design requirements to be automated, tested, and released. To excel in this role, you should have proven experience in network products and services, specifically focusing on Cisco WAN technologies such as ASR and Nexus9K. Expertise in LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPLS, LDP, GRE, BGP, OSPF, and ISIS within a VRF context for L2/L3VPN services, Traffic Engineering, and RSVP is required. Additionally, you should possess comprehensive knowledge of multicast concepts like PIM-SM, PIM-SSM, IGMP, MVPN, and MLDP. Proficiency in network automation, SRE, DevOps, Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban), project management tools like JIRA, network packet analysis, and troubleshooting tools is essential. Familiarity with load balancing technologies, TCP/IP, multicast in internet environments, low-latency technologies in the financial sector, Data Centre Networking, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, VxLAN, and Service Management processes will be beneficial for this role. Your excellent spoken and written English skills will enable meaningful collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
