Principal Lead-Network Engineering

As a Network Security Architect at Ameriprise India LLP, you will be responsible for supporting complex network security architectures by developing, designing, configuring, and implementing detailed network security strategies and solutions. Your role will involve providing technical leadership to team/vendor/contractor resources to ensure flawless execution and seamless transition into the production environment for various large projects. **Key Responsibilities:** - Independently and in a team environment, perform highly complex assignments related to security design, architecture, management, and deployment of security rules and standards in a datacenter environment. - Lead the proper execution of security changes and updates in alignment with corporate security policies to meet business requirements. - Monitor security and troubleshoot network-related issues logically. - Research, recommend, and establish innovative solutions for security standards that scale with business growth. - Introduce automation for daily routine administrative tasks where possible. - Collaborate with all Information Technology (IT) disciplines and maintain relevant documentation. - Act as an escalation resource during major incidents and outages. - Provide problem diagnosis, initiate resolutions, and offer ongoing support for network deployments and upgrades. - Ensure project scoping activities align with architectural objectives and contribute to the refinement of processes, policies, and best practices. - Continuously develop specialized knowledge and technical expertise by staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent work experience. - Minimum 10-14 years of relevant networking experience. - 10-14 years of experience with network design and engineering. - Strong analytical and customer service abilities. - Excellent communication skills to convey technical information across various organizational levels. - Strong thought leadership and problem-solving skills. - Ability to coach and mentor experienced Security staff. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience with Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, Checkpoint), F5 (Big IP, LTM, GTM, ASM, AFM), Infoblox (DNS, DHCP, NTP), Gigamon Packet Broker, Packet capture and analysis tools (Gigastor, Wireshark), Cloud Networking (AWS, Azure), Automation & scripting, and Cisco Platforms (routing and switching, wireless, ACI, Meraki, SDWAN, ISE). - Understanding of network monitoring, NetFlow, and capacity management.
