Principal IT Technician

As a Principal Information Technology (IT) Technician at Fluor, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining in-house computer systems, desktops, and peripherals. Your responsibilities will include installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. You will be the key point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance, troubleshooting problem areas promptly and accurately whether in person, over the phone, or via email. In this role, you will utilize your technical expertise by applying knowledge found in technical manuals, procedural documentation, and original equipment manufacturer guides. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading personal computer hardware and equipment in adherence to department policies while ensuring their optimal performance. Additionally, you will maintain, distribute, install, configure, repair, and upgrade various electronic products following department policies. As the Principal IT Technician, you may oversee other technicians and their work processes, acting as the lead technician. You will collaborate with third-party support and equipment vendors to identify and deliver the required hardware and/or software service levels as per company policies. Furthermore, you will provide support in the development, maintenance, and upgrades of business solutions to contribute to the overall efficiency of the organization.
