Principal Engineer - Instrumentation

As a Principal Engineer, you play a crucial role in the engineering design and execution of proposals and projects. With your strong technical abilities and in-depth knowledge of Engineering principles, you are responsible for delivering safe, compliant, reliable, efficient, and practical solutions that meet project requirements. In this role, you will participate in the development and implementation of engineering practices, workflows, and procedures. By recommending and implementing specifications and procedures, you ensure the quality and efficiency of the engineering work. Additionally, you monitor workflow, consult with Subject Matter Experts (SME), and make recommendations to Project Management Teams. You will be the discipline lead engineer for various proposals and projects, ensuring compliance with Discipline Manual and Job Manual during project execution. Your responsibilities include managing technical procurement activities, reviewing vendor documents, and attending inspections as required. Moreover, you contribute to the optimization of engineering practices based on collected Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and participate in professional group meetings to stay abreast of industry trends. Furthermore, you will participate in the development of Discipline-related technical standards and design criteria. Your expertise in areas such as Instrumentation and Control System Engineering will be instrumental in coordinating with other engineering disciplines, sub-contractors, vendors, and construction teams. Your role will also involve activities like preparing estimates, conducting FATs, and ensuring compliance with HSE, QA/QC standards. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 9 to 13 years of industry experience. Knowledge of various codes and standards, experience with Value Engineering, and proficiency in tools like SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) are essential. Your advanced analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively in English will be critical for success.
