Principal Engineer, Director Payments

As a Director in the Corporate Banking Technology team at Deutsche Bank in Pune, India, you will play a crucial role in the technology-centric business. With a focus on real-time processing and integrated systems, your expertise in software solutions will be pivotal in rebuilding core processing systems. You will work alongside a global team of 3000 Engineers across 30 countries, supporting various businesses within Corporate Bank such as Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance, and Trust & Agency Services. Your responsibilities will include providing technical leadership to the development team by setting coding standards, architectural guidelines, and best practices. You will mentor and coach junior developers, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best engineering practices. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will translate business requirements into technical specifications, optimize system performance and scalability, and contribute hands-on by writing, reviewing, and optimizing code in languages such as Java, Python, or Go. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering or related fields, along with 15-20 years of hands-on development experience in Java/J2EE based Enterprise Applications. Your experience in design/development of highly scalable, large-scale banking applications, knowledge of Java/J2EE technologies, Spring, Spring Boot Microservices, web services, database technologies, and application servers will be essential. Additionally, familiarity with SRE practices, Agile Software Development, CI/CD pipelines, BDD/TD methodologies, test automations, GCP, and monitoring tools will be advantageous.
