Key Responsibilities

Strategic Infrastructure Architecture

• Architect scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure on Azure and AWS, aligned with long-term business goals.
• Lead design of multi-region deployments, disaster recovery, and performance-optimized architectures.

• Security and identity authority

  Architect and enforce authentication and authorization models for APIs and apps. Deep experience with OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and policy-based access control.

DevOps & SRE Leadership

• Drive adoption of SRE principles, including SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and blameless post-mortems.
• Define and scale CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and secure deployment automation.

• GitOps and Infrastructure as Code leadership

  : Drive GitOps adoption across environments, ensuring all infrastructure and platform changes are delivered through auditable, version-controlled workflows.
• Own and evolve monitoring, observability, and alerting across platforms to identify risks before they become incidents.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with teams across Engineering, Security, and DevOps to align on standardized automation frameworks, platforms, and tooling.
• Serve as technical advisor to Engineering Directors and VPs on infrastructure strategy, performance tradeoffs, and cost optimization.

Force Multiplier and Mentorship

• Design tools and systems that multiply the productivity of other engineers, reducing toil and manual work.
• Mentor senior and mid-level DevOps engineers, help shape career development paths, and set technical direction for the broader DevOps function.

Compliance, Security, and Governance

• Embed security and compliance into CI/CD and infrastructure, ensuring 100% coverage of vulnerability scanning and enforcement policies.
• Advocate for infrastructure decisions that balance security, agility, and scalability.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles, with a strong track record in cloud-native architectures.
• Deep experience with Azure and AWS cloud services, networking, security, and IAM policies.
• Proficient with Terraform, GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools, Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
• Demonstrated expertise in scaling infrastructure, building for resiliency, and reducing MTTR.
• Proven ability to lead technical strategy and influence across multiple teams.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience driving DevSecOps initiatives with integrated security gates and policy enforcement.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, mentoring mindset.
• Demonstrated experience implementing secure identity flows (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML) and integrating them with cloud services and internal platforms.
• Strong background in access control, secrets management, and federated identity.

Nice-to-Have

• Prior experience leading DevOps practices in a regulated or audit-driven environment.
• Experience with platform engineering approaches (e.g., internal developer platforms, golden paths).
• Open-source contributions or technical blogging/public speaking in the DevOps/SRE domain.
