Job Description

As a software/data engineer at our Siemens company, you will play a crucial role in building a brighter future at the intersection of technology, community, and sustainability. Your innovative solutions will tackle some of the toughest challenges facing our world, allowing your passion to take you far. **Key Responsibilities:** - Utilize your 7+ years of software/data engineering experience using Java, Scala, and/or Python, with a specific focus on data-related roles. - Develop data integration (ETL/ELT) solutions using multiple languages such as Java, Scala, Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL. - Build and maintain data pipelines supporting various integration patterns (batch, replication/CDC, event streaming) and data lake/warehouse in production environments. - Work with AWS-based data services technologies like Kinesis, Glue, RDS, Athena, Snowflake CDW, etc. - Contribute to larger initiatives aimed at building and rationalizing large-scale data environments with diverse data pipelines, including internal and external partner integrations. - Stay updated with new approaches and technology applications, demonstrating a willingness to experiment and learn. - Apply your knowledge of relational databases, SQL proficiency, and supporting analytics uses and users. - Implement software engineering and agile development best practices. **Qualifications Required:** - BS in an Engineering or Science discipline, or equivalent experience. - Minimum 5 years" experience in a data-focused role. - Experience working in production environments with data pipelines. - Familiarity with AWS data services technologies. - Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and agile development.
