Role Overview: You will be joining Takeda's Innovation Capability Center in Bengaluru as a Data Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in transforming the data management processes across all production sites of the Global Manufacturing and Supply Organization (GMS). Your contribution will directly impact product quality, operational efficiency, and ultimately enhance patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to the data engineering of new and existing IT Systems to design and implement complex manufacturing data solutions, optimizing daily operations. - Enable data analytics in a GxP environment for all GMS sites, including process trending, modeling, real-time analytics, and predictive analytics. - Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS native technologies and Databricks to support diverse data sources and volumes. - Identify technical issues, provide solutions, and escalate challenges appropriately. - Ensure efficient and scalable development of Digital Products and Platforms using cutting-edge technology. - Collaborate with business teams to enhance data models for improved business intelligence tools and dashboards. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Technical/Natural Science (IT focus), or equivalent. - Minimum 9 years of experience in data engineering or related fields. - Proficiency in SQL, Relational Databases, data modeling, and modern database technologies (Databricks, Oracle, MongoDB). - Familiarity with batch-based manufacturing processes and Shop-Floor systems (MES, ERP, LIMS, Historian). - Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies and good engineering practices (DevSecOps, version control, automated testing). - Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Fluency in English. Nice to Have: - Experience with analytics applications such as Biovia Discoverant, Simca Online, PAS-X Savvy, Siemens gPROMS. - Previous work experience in a highly regulated industry like pharmaceutical or chemical. - Familiarity with AWS services (S3, EC2, Terraform) and Computer Systems Validation GAMP. - Understanding of Data Science workflows, including Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
