Job Description

As a member of the sales bid teams (deal teams), you will be responsible for developing financial models, conducting risk assessments, performing pricing analysis, and assisting in contract close-out. Your role will involve managing the scope, quality, risks, schedule, and resources of company-wide pricing initiatives. You will provide guidance to measure the effectiveness of the analyses being performed and analyze pricing activity and transactional data to identify actionable opportunities for improving pricing performance. You will be required to clearly outline the financial modeling strategy for supporting team members and provide oversight to their work. Additionally, you will need to understand customer requirements, apply industry knowledge, challenge solution teams, and discuss cost drivers to achieve desired outcomes. Collaboration with stakeholders to understand environmental changes and influence tool realignment will be a key aspect of your role. You will also be involved in the policy drafting process, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with relevant accounting policies. In your capacity, you will determine pricing strategies, drive the team towards achieving selling strategies, lead pricing discussions with pursuit teams, and negotiate price structuring with customers. Your ability to structure deals effectively with the sales team and client, utilizing supporting functions such as Tax, Accounting, and Treasury, will be essential. Your responsibilities will include writing proposal material, negotiating terms and conditions, reviewing contracts, and providing input on financial-related terms and conditions. You will also prepare the team for the governance process, present deal summaries to management, and give unbiased recommendations. Ideally, you should have at least 10 years of relevant experience, an undergraduate degree, and a graduate degree or professional certification (such as MBA/MS Finance or CPA/CA/CMA). Possessing expert knowledge of financial and pricing analysis principles, data analysis skills, and the ability to train and mentor others will be beneficial for this role. Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills are required, along with the capability to perform general office requirements.
