About the Role

Join our growing animation studio as a Full-time Remote Pre-Production Artist Intern and help shape the visual identity of stylized, Indian-inspired animated projects. This multi-disciplinary role combines concept art, visual development, storyboarding, and video editing—perfect for someone passionate about world-building and storytelling.

What You'll Do

Visual Development & Concept Design

• Design characters, environments, and props with a stylized, cartoony aesthetic
• Create color scripts, lighting studies, and mood boards
• Develop visual explorations that define project tone and atmosphere

Storyboarding & Animatics

• Translate scripts into compelling visual sequences
• Create storyboards communicating pacing, emotion, and camera movement
• Build animatics with proper timing and flow

Video Editing & Content Creation

• Edit final animation projects for various platforms
• Create behind-the-scenes content documenting our creative process
• Produce social media videos showcasing studio work and development insights

Collaboration & Growth

• Work closely with directors, writers, and 3D artists
• Learn and experiment with 3D tools (training provided)
• Contribute to evolving our hybrid 2D/3D filmmaking approach

What We're Looking For

Required Skills:

• Strong character, environment, and prop design with stylized aesthetic
• Storyboarding experience with cinematography understanding
• Video editing skills for projects and social media content
• Solid grasp of color theory, composition, and visual storytelling
• Proficiency in digital illustration (Photoshop, Procreate, etc.)
• Experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.)

Ideal Candidate:

• Portfolio showcasing concept art, character designs, and/or storyboards
• Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn new tools (including 3D)
• Interest in world-building and Indian-inspired storytelling is a plus
