Key Responsibilities
Academics
- To be responsible for delivering lessons in accordance with the designed programme, corporate strategy and guidelines and utilize the worksheets, materials, teaching aids and methods that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in a meaningful learning experience.
- To be effectively prepared for each session i.e. read plans, attend workshops and seek clarification, if necessary.
- To be aware of the objectives listed in the planner
Student Administration:
- The teacher should ensure that the childs growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for the age group with the active engagement in the learning process.
- Be approachable and treat children fairly and objectively.
- Inculcate discipline in and out of the classroom.
- Treat children with dignity and respect.
- Promote maximum children participation.
- Induct and guide new children.
- Supervise children during breaks, arrival and dispersal points.
- Gear to the teaching to the needs of all students with a concern for their interests, handicaps, special talents, individual styles and pace of learning.
Classroom Functioning:
Teacher needs to be responsible of the duties for classroom functioning.
- Filling up of Attendance student attendance in ERP.
- Updating the Academic Planners
- Additional Duties:
- Maintaining Report Cards on ERP
- Assist the coordinator in maintaining and updating records with regard to events such as PTMs, Special events, Viva, Sports Day, Special days, and Field trips.
- Update the coordinator about any significant episode or incident related to the classroom. (child illness, long absenteeism without intimation)
- Perform daily duties: filling up of all records, check and sign childs Student handbook.
- Remarks in the student handbook must be written appropriately and acknowledged by the parents.
- Manage the classroom responsibly i.e. orderly and timely arrangement, appearance, dcor. Monitor the physical setup and ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the classroom area.
General Administration:
The teacher should follow professional practices consistent with school systems and policies in working with children, records, parents, and colleagues.
- The teacher needs to be familiar with KIDS CLUB Teachers Manual and adhere to all the policies of KIDS CLUB.
- Attend all meetings convened by the principal, unless prior permission to be absent has been obtained.
- Adhere to all the policies in force or introduced from time to time and actively implement the same.
- Undergo regular observations and participate in planning workshops as part of continuing professional development.
- Be aware in terms of the process and maintenance of records as per guidelines mentioned in KIDS CLUB Teachers Manual.
- Compile and maintain appropriate, accurate, complete, and correct records and provide relevant, accurate and up-to date information.
- The teacher needs to maintain the following records:
- Attendance Registers /Template
- KIDS CLUB Handbook
- Class List
- Bus List
- Assist the coordinator in maintaining and updating records with regard to events such as PTMs, Special days and Field trips.
- Participate in organizing and implementing special days of KIDS CLUB.
- Protect and maintain all school/ KIDS CLUB property at any given point of time.
- Conduct stock-taking of teaching aids on a quarterly basis along with the coordinator.
- Ensure that any information deemed confidential by the coordinator is not transferred to a third party without his/her explicit knowledge.
Desired Qualification
Graduate in any field with NTT/ PTT/PPTC/ ECCE
Experience
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Preschools/Elementary grades
