PPIC and Purchase Executive

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Scheduling (PPIC)

  • Prepare and monitor

    accurate daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts and firm customer orders.
  • Coordinate

    proactively with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure all activities are aligned to meet on-time delivery targets.
  • Track

    real-time production progress and adjust plans as needed based on actual output and material availability constraints.
  • Ensure all planning adheres strictly to regulatory (e.g., Pharma) requirements and capacity limitations.

2. Material Requirement Planning & Procurement (Purchase)

  • Generate

    accurate

    Material Requirement Plans (MRP)

    by translating production schedules into raw material, packaging material, and component demands.
  • Execute end-to-end procurement activities

    including vendor selection, quotation requests, comparative analysis, and Purchase Order (PO) generation.
  • Negotiate

    pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with local and international suppliers to secure the best total cost of ownership (TCO).
  • Manage

    the approved vendor list (AVL), conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations, and develop strategic sourcing pipelines to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Ensure timely receipt of materials and maintain necessary documentation (GRNs, invoices, quality certificates) in compliance with company standards.

Administrative

  • Non-Material Procurement:

    Oversee and manage

    3rd party/non-material purchase party follow-ups

    related to general plant maintenance, services, and miscellaneous operational needs.

  • Plant Support:

    Handle follow-ups and execution for

    plant additional work/purchase/misc. purchase

    requirements.

  • Directorate Support:

    Execute and manage high-priority administrative tasks and

    directors additional work and follow-ups

    as delegated by the leadership team.

3. Inventory Control & Material Management

  • Maintain optimum stock levels

    of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to avoid stockouts while minimizing holding costs.
  • Coordinate closely

    with the Stores department for the timely issuance of materials to production and the management of incoming/outgoing material flow.
  • Conduct

    periodic physical inventory reconciliation, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions for discrepancies.
  • Implement FIFO/LIFO (First-In, First-Out/Last-In, First-Out) inventory practices as required.

4. Coordination & Reporting

  • Communicate

    essential updates on production status, material shortages, and expected delivery dates to the Sales and Logistics teams.
  • Generate

    daily, weekly, and monthly analytical reports covering production efficiency, inventory performance, and purchase price variance (PPV).
  • Identify and propose

    process improvements to resolve planning bottlenecks and enhance supply chain efficiency across both PPIC and Purchasing functions.

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Mandatory working experience in Pharma PPIC.

  • Strong knowledge of

    production planning, inventory control, and strategic procurement

    principles.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

  • Proficiency in

    ERP / MRP systems

    (e.g.,Pharma Cloud).
  • Superior analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, reporting, and coordination skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis tools.

Educational Qualification

  • BPharm, BSc, or MSc Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Additional certification in Supply Chain Management or Production Planning is highly advantageous.
