We’re looking for a strong Power BI and Database Optimization Specialist (4+ years) with deep practical experience. You will be heading up our implementation of Power BI. You’ll own database performance, schema design, and be the go-to for query and stored procedure optimization. The majority of this role involves creating complex SQL queries and managing data visualization.

Responsibilities

Visualize data using Power BI
Refine MySQL schemas and build efficient indexes, stored procedures, and views for high-performance queries.
Set up and maintain automated data sync between databases (ETL, replication, or script-based).
Collaborate with devs and stakeholders to evolve database design.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills

Must Have Skills

Excellent English as this position is client facing
MySQL Query optimization & indexing strategies, schema design & column type choices.
Prior experience with Power BI and power query
Knowledge of Incremental Refresh, Composite Models, DirectQuery vs Import tradeoffs
Ability to design automated syncing/mirroring between MySQL databases.

Nice to have Skills

Knowledge of caching strategies (Redis, Memcached).
Basic Python or Node.js
