Job Description

Power BI Administrator with strong SQL and Azure experience

Key Responsibilities:

Power BI Administration:

Administer and monitor Power BI environments (workspaces, datasets, gateways, licenses).
Manage user roles, permissions, and security settings in Power BI Service.
Implement and maintain Power BI governance policies and best practices.
Deploy Power BI reports and dashboards in production and development environments.
Troubleshoot Power BI performance and connectivity issues.

SQL Server:

Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.
Manage and maintain SQL Server databases and integration processes.
Monitor and improve database performance and data integrity.
Perform data analysis and extraction to support BI reporting needs.

Azure Data Services:

Work with Azure services like
Azure Data Factory
,
Azure Synapse
,
Azure SQL Database
, and
Azure Blob Storage
.
Design and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
Monitor and troubleshoot Azure data workflows and ensure high availability.
Manage Azure resources related to BI workloads, including cost optimization and scaling.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in Power BI administration and development.
Proficient in T-SQL and SQL Server.
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (ADF, Synapse, SQL DB, etc.).
Understanding of data modeling, DAX, and Power Query (M language).
Experience with Power BI REST API and/or PowerShell for automation is a plus.
Knowledge of security, governance, and compliance in a BI environment.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
