Power BI Administrator (Contract Position)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Administrator to manage, configure, and optimize Power BI services in a large-scale enterprise environment. The candidate will focus on data connection setups, user management, governance, and security compliance, ensuring a seamless BI experience for end users.Key ResponsibilitiesConfigure and maintain secure connections to on-premises and cloud data sources via Power BI gateways.Manage user onboarding/offboarding, roles, and access permissions within the Power BI environment.Administer tenant settings, workspace access, and security policies.Troubleshoot and resolve user access and connectivity issues in a timely manner.Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to enforce data governance policies.Monitor system performance, usage, and data refresh schedules, optimizing resources where necessary.Automate routine tasks (e.g., user provisioning, license management) using PowerShell or scripts.Perform regular audits of user roles, data access, and security compliance.Support training and adoption for new users, while staying updated on Power BI features and releases.Required Skills57 years of relevant IT/BI administration experience with at least 3+ years in Power BI administration.Strong knowledge of Power BI Service, Power BI Gateway, and tenant management.Experience with user and license management in enterprise environments.Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance frameworks.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Good to HaveExposure to Azure Active Directory, SQL Server, and other cloud platforms.Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik) is a plus.Knowledge of enterprise-scale BI adoption and governance frameworks.
