Job Description

You will be joining our team as a Director in the Investment Management division at Morgan Stanley. In this role, you will be responsible for providing business and operational support for fixed income investment and trading personnel. Your primary focus will be on maintaining high service levels while enhancing and fortifying operational infrastructure. As part of the Operations division, you will collaborate with various business units to facilitate financial transactions, establish effective controls, and cultivate client relationships. Embracing a transformation mindset, you will drive strategic automation solutions and challenge the status quo. This role falls under Product Support & Services, specifically as an Associate, where you will be tasked with offering transaction support and overseeing post-execution processes. Your responsibilities will include providing functional support to portfolio managers, traders, and portfolio administrators using the Trade Management System (Aladdin). You will monitor trade flows, affirm trades, and manage trade settlement through platforms such as DTCC CTM and Alert. Additionally, you will work with brokers and custodian banks to address trade-related issues and reconcile transactions in a timely manner. Furthermore, you will play a key role in corporate action workflows, cash and position reconciliation, and facilitating accurate and timely delivery of critical business inquiries to internal and external stakeholders. This position is a hybrid role, requiring in-office attendance three days a week. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, along with four to seven years of operations or related experience. Specific knowledge of corporate actions, equity, and fixed income securities is essential. Familiarity with BRS Aladdin, DTCC CTM, and Alert is advantageous. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are a must, as well as problem-solving abilities and innovative thinking.
