As a Director in the Investment Management division at Morgan Stanley, you will be responsible for providing business and operational support to fixed income investment and trading personnel. Your primary focus will be on maintaining high service levels while enhancing and strengthening the operational infrastructure. In this role, you will collaborate with various business units within the firm to support financial transactions, implement effective controls, and develop client relationships. Embracing a transformation mindset, you will drive strategic automation solutions and challenge the status quo to ensure operational efficiency. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing functional support to portfolio managers, traders, and portfolio administrators through the Trade Management System (Aladdin). You will monitor trade flows, handle trade affirmation and settlement using DTCC CTM and Alert, and work closely with brokers and custodian banks to resolve any trade-related issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for cash and position reconciliation, corporate action workflows, and facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders. To excel in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, along with four to seven years of operations or related experience. Specific knowledge of corporate actions, equity, and fixed income securities is essential, while familiarity with BRS Aladdin, DTCC CTM, and Alert is a plus. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are crucial, as well as problem-solving abilities and a collaborative, innovative mindset.
