Podcast Producer

Responsibilities

• End-to-end Production: Manage all stages of podcast production, from concept development and pre-production to recording, editing, and distribution.
• Content Strategy: Collaborate with clients to develop compelling show formats, episode topics, and guest lists.
• Technical Management: Oversee all technical aspects, including setting up and managing recording equipment, ensuring high-quality audio, and troubleshooting any issues.
• Audio Editing: Edit raw audio, including removing filler words, smoothing transitions, and mixing in music and sound effects to create a polished final product.
• Post-Production: Write compelling show notes, create episode titles, and manage the upload and distribution of episodes to all major podcast platforms (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, etc.).
• Promotion: Work with our marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies for new episodes and shows.
• Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for podcast clients, providing updates, managing expectations, and ensuring their vision is brought to life.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in audio production, with a strong focus on podcasts.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) like Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Pro Tools. Familiarity with various recording equipment and microphones.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and project management skills. A keen ear for high-quality audio and a knack for storytelling.
• Portfolio: A portfolio of produced podcast episodes or audio projects.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Audio Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
