PMO, Group Managing Director's office

Job Purpose:

Partner closely with GMD and Leadership Team to translate the companys strategic vision into actionable business outcomes. Drive organization-wide strategic initiatives, business performance management, and transformation programs to enhance revenue growth, operational efficiency, and governance.

Act as a strategic advisor and execution lead to the Group Managing Director (GMD), ensuring alignment between corporate priorities and functional goals, while fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the enterprise.

Role & responsibilities

Strategic Management

• Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the GMD in shaping and executing the companys long-term strategic agenda.
• Lead the implementation of company-wide strategic initiatives to achieve Revenue, EBITDA, FFO, and Distribution goals.
• Establish and oversee the companys governance cadence through Business Performance Reviews, ensuring timely evaluation of KPIs and actionable for timely leadership decisions.
• Drive strategic and special projects, ensuring timely completion and impact delivery across business functions and circles.
• Continuously identify, assess, and embed best practices, benchmarks, and market trends to strengthen strategic and operational effectiveness.
• Champion a culture of business excellence, organizational integration, and process optimization to enable sustainable growth and scalability.

Operational support

• Prioritize and streamline GMDs focus areas by tracking critical initiatives, monitoring progress, and flagging areas that require attention.
• Coordinate across Leadership Team members to ensure timely updates, information flow, and closure of key initiatives.
• Prepare GMD for internal and external engagements, meetings, reviews, events, and conferences through structured briefing notes, presentations, and talking points.
• Manage governance around leadership meetings, town halls, and strategy reviews to ensure clarity, discipline, and follow-through.
• Serve as the liaison for communication, correspondence, and delegation on behalf of the GMD.

Business Performance and Governance

• Manage the end-to-end business performance reviews, including agenda setting, pre-reads, tracking of actionable, and timely communication.
• Facilitate cross-functional alignment on key priorities by ensuring interlinkages between Circle CEOs, Corporate Functions, and the Leadership Team.
• Partner with Function and Business Leaders to monitor performance metrics and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.

External Stakeholder Management

• Support the GMD in engagement with key external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, industry forums, partners etc.
• Strengthen Altius external visibility and thought leadership by coordinating internal and external participation in industry events, panels, and strategic partnerships.
• Support in preparing the speaking notes for GMD in close coordination with Communications team.
• Manage inquiries addressed to the GMD by assessing the appropriate course of action and delegating them to the relevant individual for resolution.

Preferred candidate profile

• MBA / B.E. / B. Tech., preferably from Top institutes
• 12+ years of experience in Telecom or related sector, or Management Consulting (preferably with Telecom Clients)
• Strategic mindset, strong Financial Acumen, Analytical thinking
• Understanding of Telecom sector
