Hiring for PL/SQL SUPPORT ENGINEER- KOCHI

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

PL/SQL Support Engineer

to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, troubleshooting, and support, with expertise in

PL/SQL

programming and Oracle Database management. As a Support Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our database systems while providing timely and efficient technical support.

Key Responsibilities

PL/SQL Support & Maintenance
:
- Provide day-to-day technical support for PL/SQL scripts, queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PL/SQL code performance, errors, and database connectivity.
- Optimize and tune PL/SQL code for better performance.
Database Management
:
- Monitor and maintain Oracle databases for performance, availability, and security.
- Perform regular backups, restore, and data recovery procedures.
- Manage database security roles and permissions.
Incident Management
:
- Act as the first point of contact for database-related incidents and service requests.
- Analyze, document, and resolve incidents and problems in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify the root cause of production issues.
Environment Support
:
- Maintain and support the production and test environments for Oracle databases.
- Ensure high availability and reliability of database services.
Database Deployments & Updates
:
- Assist in the deployment of new database versions, patches, and updates.
- Conduct testing to ensure that database updates do not impact performance or functionality.
Documentation & Reporting
:
- Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, scripts, and support procedures.
- Create and update knowledgebase articles to assist with ongoing support issues.
- Generate regular reports on database performance and incidents.
