About the UNIT/ Unit Overview Corporate Quality & Cost Orientation Location Pune Experience: 6 - 12 Number of openings 1 What awaits you/ Job Profile We are seeking a skilled PLM Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and demonstrate expertise in test management. As a test manager with expertise in Teamcenter, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test cases to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement effective testing strategies. In addition you will ensure a continuous defect tracking and you will be responsible for a continuously updated test and end user documentation. What should you bring along Collaborate with business colleagues and internal teams to establish an overall e2e test strategy with the focus on Teamcenter Collaborate with the whole BizDevOps team and additional stakeholders to understand application features and testing requirements. Organize and conduct all necessary test management activities (incl. test planning and defect tracking) continuously as required (especially before and during release rollouts) Develop, maintain and document test cases and executions using BMW standard tools, e.g. Xray Execute tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement. Utilize Jira and Xray for managing test cases, test data, and defect tracking. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Provide feedback and recommendations for software enhancements based on testing results. Document test plans, test cases, and test results clearly and concisely. Document all user relevant software changes for each release in the form of release notes (usually 4 releases during 1 year) and update the user manuals accordingly Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in test automation and Teamcenter. Must have technical skill Willingness and ability to understand e2e business processes Hands-on experience with Teamcenter and its testing capabilities. Familiarity with Agile methodologies & tools and the software development life cycle (SDLC). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience in Agile projects. Good to have Technical skills German language skills Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python. Proven experience in test automation, with a strong understanding of automation frameworks.
