PLC & Motion Controls Engineer (Servo + HMI) — Contract (Vasai East)

About the project

We’re building a drum lifting & tilting machine with two servo axes:

• Lift Axis: Ball-screw driven, 750 W, 220 VAC servo + drive
• Tilt Axis: Timing-belt/pulley, 750 W, 220 VAC servo + drive
• HMI requirement: Operator must set Lifting Speed, Tilting Speed, Working/Max Tilt Angle on the HMI.
• Pendant with Momentary Buttons : Lift, Lower, Tilt Left, Tilt Right, E-Stop.
• Control Method: Jog(Motion only when Button Pressed)
• parameters must be easy to change on site (User Friendly).

What you’ll do (scope)

• Write the FDS, I/O list, and control sequence.
• Develop PLC logic (IEC 61131-3: Ladder + Structured Text) for two servo axes.
• Build HMI screens: angle entry with max-limit, jog, Speeds, alarms/diagnostics, admin settings.
• Configure drives: homing strategy, soft limits, torque/following-error handling, S-curve motion.
• Integrate safety: dual-channel E-Stop → STO, limit switches, interlocks..
• Commissioning: Full Testing & Deployment at our site (Vasai East).
• Deliver documentation: commented code, parameter backups, alarm list, user/training notes.

Must-have qualifications

• 3+ years PLC + motion control with servo positioning (ballscrew/belt applications).
• Strong with IEC 61131-3 (Ladder + ST) and state machines.
• Hands-on servo tuning (position/velocity/torque modes, inertia matching, jerk-limited profiles).
• HMI development (alarm/recipe/diagnostics).
• Fieldbuses: one or more of EtherCAT / PROFINET / EtherNet/IP / Modbus.
• Experience implementing STO/E-Stop chains, soft limits, homing, and safety documentation.

Deliverables (acceptance)

• Final FDS + I/O list and risk/safety notes.
• PLC & HMI source projects (with comments) + parameter backups.
• Servo tuning report (gains, limits, counts-per-unit, inertia ratio).
• Testing & Deployment checklists with pass criteria (accuracy/repeatability/cycle time/safety).
• Operator training brief + support window [e.g., 30–60 days].

Job Types: Part-time, Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 2 weeks

Pay: From ₹35,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
