PLC Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled PLC Design Engineer with proven expertise in EPLAN to design, develop, and implement industrial automation solutions. The role involves creating electrical design schematics, programming PLC systems, and ensuring seamless integration with SCADA/HMI systems for a variety of automation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Design using EPLAN:
• Develop and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using EPLAN P8.
• Prepare bills of materials, terminal diagrams, and connection lists for control panels.
• PLC Programming & Design:
• Design, develop, and test PLC logic and control strategies for automated systems.
• Integrate PLCs with SCADA/HMI systems for monitoring and control.
• Panel Design & Selection:
• Select appropriate components (PLCs, drives, relays, contactors, sensors) based on project specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Generate complete project documentation including wiring diagrams, IO lists, and FAT/SAT procedures.
• Maintain version control and ensure accuracy of as-built drawings.
• Project Execution:
• Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and clients to ensure timely project delivery.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in PLC system design, programming, and commissioning.
• Proficiency in EPLAN P8 for electrical design.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.) and industrial drives.
• Knowledge of SCADA/HMI platforms and communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with VFDs, servo drives, and safety PLCs.
• Familiarity with international electrical standards (IEC, NEC).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
