As a Platform Manager (Footwear & Elastomers) at Huntsman Corporation, you will play a crucial role within the ISC Polyurethane Technology & Innovation team in Mumbai, India. Your responsibilities will revolve around managing and developing the product portfolio for the Footwear & Elastomeric Polyurethanes segment. This will entail driving innovation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and collaborating closely with global teams to bring new solutions to the market. **Core Functions:** - Ensure full compliance with company safety, health, and environmental standards across all areas of responsibility. - Maintain technical knowledge of Footwear & Elastomeric PU products and processing technologies. - Monitor global and local product portfolios to identify opportunities and ensure market relevance. - Lead technology transfer and localization efforts in coordination with global teams. - Optimize the product portfolio for cost competitiveness. - Adhere to regulatory and quality standards in product development. - Collaborate with global Platform Managers to align local activities with the global strategy. **Market & Implementation Focus:** - Work with cross-functional teams to implement platform strategies effectively. - Engage with key customers to support the introduction of new technologies. - Collaborate with the Technical Service team for effective deployment of innovations. **Other General Responsibilities:** - Serve as the subject matter expert for the Footwear & Elastomers platform in the Indian market. - Analyze market trends and customer requirements for strategic planning. - Provide technical and strategic support for business development initiatives. - Represent the company at industry conferences and customer meetings. - Deliver reports and presentations to senior leadership on platform performance. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. - 8-10 years of experience in the Polyurethanes industry, preferably in Footwear and/or Elastomeric applications. - Track record in product/platform management, innovation, and global technology transfer. - Experience in a global matrix organization is desirable. - Strong collaboration, influence, strategic thinking, and hands-on approach.
